What changes
A temperature breach in transit.
Caught how fast?
Caught how fast?
A refrigerated container's compressor falters for two hours somewhere between processing plant and retailer. Here's how that incident plays out - before and after Transgenie.
Before
Silent failure. Loud dispute.
Container doors open at the retail DC. Temperatures look borderline. No one knows what happened en route.
The next 3 weeks
Day 1
Receiver rejects shipment - temp log shows "drift" but no timestamps. Carrier and shipper both disclaim.
Day 2–4
Product quarantined. Lab tests for microbial growth. Whole container of premium seafood at risk.
Day 5–14
Insurance adjusters enter the chat. Paper temp charts examined. Reefer's GPS data requested from carrier - delayed.
Day 15–21
Full load destroyed. Insurance pays out at 60%. Retailer switches suppliers.

With Transgenie
Alert first. Answers fast.
The compressor starts drifting at 14:32. The system doesn't wait for the receiver to notice.
The next 4 hours
+0:30s
Temperature crosses threshold. SMS + email alert fires to operator, carrier, and receiver simultaneously.
+15 min
Driver diverts to nearest cold storage. GPS coordinates, duration, peak temperature all timestamped on-chain.
+2 hours
Salvage assessment complete. 78% of load cleared for original destination based on actual exposure data.
+4 hours
Insurance claim auto-filed with cryptographic evidence. Retailer accepts unaffected product. Supplier relationship preserved.

Questions we hear weekly.
Questions we hear weekly.
The practical questions from meat processors, seafood importers, and cold storage operators. Anything not covered? Bring it to the demo.
Do you support IoT temperature sensors we already use?
Yes. Transgenie integrates with SenseAware, Sensitech, Emerson, and standard BLE/LoRa loggers. If your current sensors export timestamped CSV or have an API, we can ingest their data without replacement.
How do you verify species authenticity?
Two layers. At processing, we integrate with DNA/PCR test partners so results get cryptographically bound to the batch. At packing, photo-AI can flag visual substitutions in fillets and cuts. Consumers see the test result directly on scan.
What happens when a truck loses connectivity?
Sensors and driver apps buffer locally. Readings continue recording during dead zones (ocean transit, tunnels, remote highways) and sync automatically once connectivity returns. Timestamps preserve the exact event order.
Can we track mixed loads - multiple species or cuts in one container?
Yes. Each lot maintains its own chain-of-custody while sharing the same container-level temperature data. If a breach affects only one pallet, only that pallet's batches are flagged.
How does Halal / Kosher tracking work?
Religious certification authorities get their own supervisor portal. They sign off on slaughter events, separate lines, and supervised packing directly in the app. Records are immutable and retailer-viewable.
Will this support our export documentation (EU IUU, NOAA SIMP)?
Yes. Transgenie auto-generates catch certificates for EU IUU and chain-of-custody records for NOAA SIMP in the formats each authority accepts. Export filing time drops from days to minutes.
What about recall precision - do we recall whole batches or just affected portions?
Just the affected portions. If a breach hit pallets 3–7 of a 20-pallet load, only those pallets get recalled. The system knows exactly which retail locations, dates, and SKU ranges they reached.
How is this priced for high-volume operations?
Enterprise tiers are based on facility count, not per-transaction. Processors shipping millions of units pay the same per-facility as mid-sized operators. No penalty for scale.
